Today I facilitated a Tantric date.
I love this format of work. It feels deeply right to me because Tantra comes alive between people.
I often meet couples where one person already has experience with embodied practices and the other arrives completely new but curious enough to try. I begin gently, explaining what Tantra can offer and how connection forms on physical, emotional, social and energetic levels.
Then we explore how movement, with attention around the sexual centre, can help someone open their heart to their partner.
People often cry during my therapeutic sessions. Tears also come during Tantric dates, but they carry a different quality. They come from the honesty and tenderness of the moment, and from finally saying the words a couple rarely says aloud.
I feel grateful to the couples who trust me and allow me to guide them into that depth.
A Tantric date has its own purpose. It gives two people time to be together, look into each other’s eyes, speak openly and meet each other with honesty. They remember why they once fell in love.
A couple can go to a restaurant, a film or a dance class. They can also choose a Tantric date. The practices stay gentle and work for people with any level of experience, including those meeting Tantra for the first time.
